Hello fashionistas and welcome back to my page! So I know my blog is meant to be fashion focused but sometimes I like to step away from that and just do some real talk. I turned 25 a few months ago and figured it was important to reflect on some of the stuff that I have learned over the years. Now 25 years are a lot and I’m sure that I have learned more than just these 25 things but for the sake of this post I will narrow it down. Some will be serious and of course some more fun but I hope you enjoy the 25 lessons that I have learned over my quarter life.
#1. I’m a shopaholic (figured it had to be the first one on the list).
#2. Not everyone will understand your sarcasm.
#3. Dwelling on the past won’t change it. Live in the moment.
#4. If something bothers you, do something about it. It won’t change itself.
#5. TRAVEL, TRAVEL, TRAVEL! It really helps to open your eyes and gain new perspectives!
#6. Not everyone close to you wants the best for you.
#7. You can build great friendships at any point of your life.
#8. Don’t judge your successes and failures based on other people’s journey.
#9. No matter how cold it is, Iced Capps are life #obsessionisreal.
#10. It is OKAY to not be married when you are 25, 26, 27, 30. It’ll happen when/if the time feels right.
#11. My parents are and always will be the most important people in my life.
#12. Always be open to developing new hobbies and gaining new experiences.
#13. Everyone has a different reality than you do, take a moment to understand them and their perspective.
#14. You can always have more but be grateful for what you have.
#15. Don’t wait for other people to make you happy. You are in charge of how you feel.
#16. Not having your dream job at 25 is okay.
#17. Patience is key!
#18. Working out isn’t just for weight loss but also for a healthy mind.
#19. I can’t leave the mall without buying something. I justify it as retail therapy!
#20. Not everyone is going to like you so just be yourself no matter what.
#21. Speak less, do more! Not everything you do has to be explained and rationalized to others. You do you!
#22. Someone you talk to and see once a month can be closer than someone you see everyday.
#23. Don’t react when you’re angry. Take a moment, breathe and then respond (still working on this one haha).
#24. Don’t define your life by making lists (as I sit here making one, but you know what I mean). Take everything day by day.
#25. Age is really JUST a number!
Now these are things I have learned and continue to learn. I have yet to perfect some of these lessons; except maybe the shopping related ones. I hope you enjoyed reading this post and I would love to hear some of things you have learned over your years. Till next time fashionistas, keep smiling <3.

Love this- I wrote a similar post on my 25th…. we have learned so much! YES hobbies are SO important and a huge goal of mine is to travel more this year… not comparing ourselves to others also so very important. Great list!
