Maxed Out

Happy summer fashionistas! Well it isn’t exactly summer yet according to our calendars but +10 and above equals summer for any true Edmontonian. Today on the blog I had to talk about my new find- this grayish purple button down maxi dress! Now when I saw this piece, instantly my head went to “great, I’m too short for that!” But you probably know by now that I am not one to give up, especially when it comes to clothes so I went ahead and tried it on and began brainstorming how I might wear this piece. Of course I did not look like the model on Dynamite’s website rocking this piece but something about this dress spoke to me. I tried it on with a pair of skinny jeans and also without and I felt there was a lot that could be done with this piece. When I posted this dress on Instagram my fellow blogger ladies also had some suggestions on how they would style this piece which was interesting to read. For my shorter ladies who might get overwhelmed by this piece like I initially had, don’t be! There are slits on the side of the dress and also unbuttoning a few of those bottom buttons to reveal a little leg can help to make the dress seem less overwhelming. Throw on a pair of heels and you’ll be surprised at how good it looks! Keep scrolling to see how I styled this piece and also leave suggestions on how you might style it. As for Dynamite, thank you once again for taking my money!
