Ready, Set, Go!

Welcome back fashionistas!  I have seen a million ‘Get Ready with Me’ videos on YouTube and thought it would be fun to try this on my blog. Now I wish it was as easy as ‘Ready, Set, Go’ but alas we all know how many steps are involved before we actually step out of the house. I will start with the makeup that I used and then move into the outfit I chose. Now, to say I love makeup is an understatement but I am also by no means anywhere close to a makeup artist so if anything I do/use is absolutely ridiculous, well just bear with me. Alright lets jump right in and hopefully this doesn’t take me a year to write.

Step 1: Put on Contacts so I can see what I’m doing

Phew! I did not realize I had THAT many steps to my makeup routine. Well now that we’re done with that and it looks decent if I do say so myself, we shall move onto the getting dressed bit. Now because I know myself and my lack of decision making when it comes to clothes, I will usually have an outfit picked the night before or at least a few hours prior to going out. For today, I had already decided what I was going to wear so I skipped the pretending to look in the closet photos. The outfit I chose for the evening out consisted of the great items I scored at the Aritzia sale. If you follow me on Instagram you’ll know I am obsessed with anything suede so when I saw this skirt I knew I had to have it! Of course I had nothing in my own closet to pair it with (*feels judgment from every corner*) so I decided a trip back to Aritzia was needed. The fitted nature of the skirt had me wanting a looser crop top and I was lucky enough to find this lace crop. Together I feel it makes for a great outfit for a fancy dinner or even a classy ensemble for a work meeting. Keep scrolling to see this pair work together and also the accessories I chose to complete the look. As for the hair, I didn’t spend tons of time there but decided to throw some curls in, which pretty much fell out by the time I went to take my photos.

Step 17: Attempt to Curl Hair

Step 18: Take Another Twizzler Break and continue curling attempt!

Step 19: Hairspray (can’t breathe!)

Step 20: Pick Outfit

Step 21: Go out and take “candid” photos
