Hey fashionistas, happy winter? So last blog post was all about my warm trip to Asia and now I am writing about my favorite winter coats; thanks Edmonton for the reality check! Anyways living in Canada I am not surprised although I wasn’t expecting to be having to pull out my winter coat so soon. Well I like to make the best of every situation so I decided why not use this as a photo op and tell you about my favorite winter coats. Keep scrolling to see some of the coats I’ll be sporting this winter season 🙂
Parka: Zara
First one has definitely made an appearance on the blog before (Blog Post: ‘Baby It’s Cold Outside’). This parka is a favorite of mine and I’m so glad my mom found me this gem. It is an absolute godsend in the -40 winters with a warm inner lining and fur lined hood. I am obsessed with anything even remotely in the camo family so this coat was an absolute must have once I saw it. Speaking as someone who is always cold, this puffy, long parka style jacket is perfect. From the inner lining to the length of this parka all parts of me are left feeling nice and toasty on a cold winter day. And lets be real, a baggy parka can really help hide the extra pounds we might pack on during the holiday season. Thank you Zara!
Wool Coat: Aritzia
The camel coat is a staple piece in every wardrobe and looks great with just about any outfit you throw together. I absolutely love this coat, especially for more fancier evenings out. Keeping warm and looking good while doing it is definitely what makes winters in Canada more bearable.
Cape Coat: Zara
Although a new addition, this cape coat has quickly become a favorite. To be honest I bought this one on a whim as I was unsure how I felt about it. With that being said once I put it on with the right outfit I immediately became obsessed- I think we should know by now that I’m not too hard to convince. I love to make my life easy when putting outfits together so I will gladly accept a neutral coat that will match tons of my outfits. Now this cape coat will not help me survive an Edmonton winter but it will definitely be my go to for -5 days (wishful thinking).
Since I kept the outfit the same with all 3 jackets, I will post the outfit details below. I hope you enjoyed this post and also got some ideas for what kind of coat you want to be sporting this winter season. If you are somewhere that doesn’t get to experience -40 then please refrain from rubbing it in. Until next time fashionistas, stay warm and stay fashionable!
